MORNI AND KALKA TO GET SMOOTH TRAFFIC ACCESS WITH ROAD UPGRADES

Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini directs paver block roads in 19 villages of Morni and Kalka, holds review meeting with PWD and Forest Department , Chief Minister stresses importance of quality in road construction and maintenance, Development works must be completed within the stipulated time frame

Haryana Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini has directed the construction of about 61 kilometers of paver block roads by upgrading kutcha roads in 19 villages of the hilly areas of Morni and Kalka, in Panchkula district. These roads will be 12 feet wide to ensure smooth traffic flow for the local residents.

Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini was presiding over a review meeting with officers from the Public Works Department and the Forest Department regarding various development works, here today. He directed that road construction in these villages should commence promptly after obtaining the necessary NOC from the Forest Department.

He said that constructing roads in the hilly villages of Morni and Kalka will greatly improve mobility for residents and open new avenues for development in the region. The locals will soon be relieved of the difficulties caused by unpaved roads.

Sh Nayab Singh Saini directed officials to ensure the highest standards of quality in both the construction and repair of roads across the state. He emphasized that any compromise on quality would not be tolerated under any circumstances. Additionally, he instructed that all development works must be completed within the stipulated time frame. He made it clear that strict action will be taken against anyone responsible for delays.

The Chief Minister also directed that construction work of various roads in district Panchkula should commence at the earliest after obtaining the NOC from the Forest Department. These included Thapali Badisher road to village Koti (1.68 km), Pinjore Mallah to Mangniwala (1.20 km), and Gobindpur to Thathar (5.35 km). Additionally, he instructed to start the strengthening and widening of roads including Panipat to Safidon (41 km), Safidon to Jind (21.65 km), Saha Chowk to Panchkula-Yamunanagar four lane in district Ambala, as well as the Saha Chowk to Kalpi and Tohana Ratia road.

Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sh. Arun Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works Department Sh Anurag Agarwal along with other senior officers of Public Works Department and Forest Department were also present in the meeting.
