The first-time Fazilka MLA Narinder Pal Singh Sawna can be seen wading through flood water to provide ration kits and cattle feed for milch animals to the flood-hit needy people. He started distribution of ration kits and cattle feed from the village Dona Nanka that had been highlighted in the global media.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Dr. Mandeep Kaur and SDM Veerpal Kaur were also present with him. It starts after the visit of Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian and Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh who responded to the demand of hundreds of families affected by flooding of villages. The ministers had to use tractors to review the situation in the border area.

Braveheart Sawna said that this is a natural disaster but in this difficult time all kinds of help would be provided to the people. The MLA, who had earlier started paying money to arrange diesel and carried out distribution of green fodder, has now taken up distributing animal feed on behalf of the government. He said that the health department and animal husbandry department have deployed teams to visit the affected villages. Apart from this, direct contact has been made with the people in all the villages so that maximum help can be provided to the flood affected people.

Naib Tehsildar Aradhana Khosla and Market Committee Chairman Paramjit Singh Noor Shah were also present in the field.
