The Regional Office of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), in association with the Faridabad IMT Industries Association, organised a seminar to raise awareness about ongoing government initiatives and ESIC benefits. The programme saw participation from leading industrialists of the region.

Shri Sugan Lal Meena, Regional Director, ESIC, highlighted the wide range of social security benefits available under the ESIC framework, including medical, sickness, maternity, permanent disability and dependents’ pensions, along with funeral expenses, unemployment allowance, Atal Beemit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana, vocational training and rehabilitation schemes.

Introducing the SPREE–2025 (Scheme to Promote Registration of Employers and Employees), he emphasised that under the ESIC Act, 1948, all factories, establishments, shops, hospitals and institutions employing 10 or more persons are mandatorily required to register. He noted that while several units remain outside ESIC despite eligibility, the SPREE scheme provides an opportunity for voluntary registration without any inspection of past records or recovery of past liabilities. Registration will be effective from the date of enrolment, and the scheme will remain open till 31 December 2025.

He also detailed the Amnesty Scheme, aimed at resolving long-pending litigations filed before 31 March 2025. Under this scheme, employers can settle disputes on coverage and contributions pending before EI Courts and High Courts. Provisions include full waiver of damages and resolution of very old cases by paying 30% of assessed contribution. The scheme will be operational from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026.

Speaking about the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, Shri Meena informed that employees appointed on or after 1 August 2025 will receive an annual incentive of ₹15,000 (in two instalments), while employers will be eligible for an incentive of up to ₹3,000 per employee. With a total budgetary allocation of ₹99,446 crore, the scheme, to be implemented through EPFO, targets the creation of 3.5 crore jobs by 31 July 2027.

For grievance redressal, all employers were advised to contact the ESIC helpline numbers 0129-2222980/981, where issues will be resolved promptly.

The seminar was attended by ESIC officials Shri Brijesh Mishra and Shri Ravindra Kumar, along with office bearers of the Faridabad IMT Industries Association, including President Shri Veer Bhan Sharma, General Secretary Shri Deepak Prasad, Chief Patron Shri H.L. Bhutani, Patron Shri G.S. Dahiya, Chairman Shri M.L. Sharma, Former President Shri Krishna Kaushik, Senior Vice President Shri M.K. Mehtani, Vice President Shri Hemant Sharma, Treasurer Shri Yograj Gupta and Joint Secretary Shri Ramesh Arora.
