VANDANA, SANDEEP KAUR WIN MEDALS IN STATE SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP

(MOREPIC1) Students of Bhag Singh Khalsa College for Women, Kala Tibba enthusiastically participated in the 100th Open Punjab State Junior and Under-23 Athletics Championship which was held recently at Shri Guru Nanak Stadium, Ludhiana.

Vandana (BA Part III student) secured first place in Javelin Throw and Women's heptathlon (the combined event for women contested in the athletics programme of the Olympics and at the World Athletics Championships). Sandeep Kaur (BA Part I) secured second place in Pole Vault.

On this achievement, Head of Physical Education Department, Dr. Iqbal Kaur congratulated the students. She said that the students have brought glory to the college as well as their parents and village Rampura Narainpura.

College Chairman Gurlal Singh Brar Fattanwala and Principal Dr. Harpreet Kaur Aulakh congratulated Head of Department Dr. Iqbal Kaur, students and their parents for this achievement and motivated them for such activities in future also.
