ASI Krishna Yadav (40), posted in Rewari district, committed suicide by hanging himself in his village, Jainabad, due to domestic discord. Following the incident, police and forensic teams arrived at the scene and recovered a suicide note. In the note, Krishna Yadav blamed his wife and in-laws for his death.

This is the third suicide case in Haryana Police within just 10 days.

On October 7, IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar committed suicide by shooting himself in Chandigarh. On October 14, ASI Sandeep Lathar of the Rohtak Cyber Cell shot himself in a room on his uncle's farm, and now, on Friday., ASI Krishna Yadav hanged himself. These incidents have raised serious questions about the functioning and stress management of the Haryana Police Department.

In his suicide note Krishna wrote that his wife was constantly harassing him mentally by filing false police complaints. He blamed his wife, father-in-law, and brother-in-law for his death. Based on this, a case has been registered against four people based on the complaint filed by his father, Nardev Yadav. No arrests have been made yet.

Krishna Yadav joined the police department as a constable in 2004, and his first posting was in Narnaul. He was the father of two children and had taken a few days' leave to visit his ancestral village. On Thursday morning, he hanged himself at home.
