Assistant Director (Academic) For Director Secondary Education, Haryana, Panchkula, in  circular, said, the state government has decided that the concerned Deputy Commissioners shall assess the prevailing situation considering the severe AQI levels (as per GRAP III) in the NCR Region. Based on the assessment, the Deputy Commissioners may discontinue physical classes for students up to Class V in Government and Private schools and issue necessary instructions to conduct classes in Online/Hybrid Mode (wherever online mode is feasible) to ensure the health and safety of students.

The assessment must account for AQI levels separately in rural and urban areas of the respective districts till the air quality improves.
