The court of Ajit Pal Singh Judge Special Court, Fazilka has convicted accused Angrej Singh @ Laddu and Ganesh Singh and sentenced them to undergo rigorous imprisonment for ten years along with fine of Rs.1,00,000/- each. In default thereof, they will further undergo rigorous imprisonment for one year.
It is pertinent to mention that these accused were arrested along with 518 grams of heroin on 28.01.2023. The FIR No. 32 was registered against them on January 28, 2023 under Sections 21 & 29 of NDPS Act at Police Station Special Task Force, Mohali.
As per police record, the accused were involved in the trade of heroin and were waiting for the customer at bus stand Mahuana. They were apprehended on the secret information. When searched, the commercial quantity of heroin was recovered from their possession.
