The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has swept the Tarn Taran Assembly by-election with a historic and one-sided victory, reaffirming that the people of Punjab stand firmly with work-based politics, clean governance, and the honest leadership of CM Bhagwant Mann and National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal.
AAP candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu secured an emphatic win with a huge margin of more than 12,000 votes, delivering a clear verdict against Congress, BJP and Akali Dal.
AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said on X that the historic victory proves that Punjab overwhelmingly supports the politics of work and CM Bhagwant Mann’s honest leadership.
“This historic victory in the Tarn Taran by-election clearly shows that Punjab wants work-based politics. Punjab has once again reposed faith in AAP. This is the people’s victory and the victory of every hardworking volunteer. Heartiest congratulations to the people of Punjab and all our workers.”
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said on X, “The splendid victory in the Tarn Taran by-election proves that Punjab supports work-based politics. Under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal ji, the party is raising the flag of victory everywhere.”
He added, “Punjab has once again trusted AAP. This is the victory of the people and every hardworking volunteer. Every promise made to the people of Tarn Taran during the campaign will be fulfilled on priority.” CM Mann congratulated every voter of Tarn Taran for this decisive mandate.
