DAVC ABOHAR STUDENTS SHINE IN YOUTH FESTIVALS

Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Mahajan and Dean EMA, Dr. Varinder Kumar, the students performed brilliantly in the 66th Youth and Heritage Festival of Panjab University at Dashmesh Girls College, Badal and got 2nd runner up trophy in Muktsar Zone.

Students got first place in 10 competitions (Cartooning, Poster Making, Heritage Quiz, General Quiz, Debate Competition, Still Life, Rangoli, Essay Writing, Poetry Writing, Classical Dance), and second place in 9 competitions (Declamation Contest, Sanskrit Writing, Knitting, Mime, Ghazal, Giddha, Giddha Individual, Group Song Individual, Collage Making). They won 12 third prizes (Hindi writing, group song, group song individual, Bhangra individual, bhajan, bhajan individual, mehndi, on the spot painting, histrionics, group dance, photography) and received a total of 31 awards.

The students performed well in the Inter Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival held at AS College Khanna. They got second position in poetry writing, third position in heritage quiz, cartooning, still life and poster making.

Feeling proud of the success of the students, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Mahajan gave credit to the EMA department and expressed the hope that the students will continue to bring glory to the college by performing like this.
