Renowned jurists from India and abroad deliberated on the Constitution, human rights, and fundamental rights at a two-day international conference on “Constitution and Human Rights” organized by the Faculty of Law of Tantia University in Sriganganagar.

Chief Guest, Justice Chandrashekhar Sharma of the Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur, said that today, lies have become so intertwined with truth and it has become extremely difficult to distinguish between truth and falsehood. He said that success and failure lie in the power of one's thinking. Positive thinking will yield positive results. Everyone talks about the rights granted to us by the Constitution, but when the same Constitution speaks of our duties, we simply don't want to listen or understand them.

(SUBHEAD)Vice Chairperson Dr. Mohit Tantia, Executive Director Dr. K.S. Sukhdev, Director (Research and Academics) Dr. Praveen Sharma, and General Manager of the Tantia Group, Dr. Vikas Sachdeva, welcomed the guests.

Principal of Government Law College, Churu, Prof. Dr. S.K. Saini, former Principal of the Faculty of Law at Rajasthan University, Jaipur, Dr. Rajiv Soni said that today, majority rule is considered democracy, whereas majority rule alone does not constitute democracy. Vice-Chancellor Prof. M.M. Saxena said that human rights are discussed globally, this topic is very broad in itself.

Chief guest of the closing ceremony, Prof. Ajay Ranga, Registrar of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, said that as society changes, laws also have to change. Dr. Manjinder Gulyani, Kurukshetra University and Dr. Kalpana Sharma from Delhi University said that privacy must be protected.

Advocate Kashish Makkar from London, Prof. Daniel H. Stein from New York, Advocate Avnish Jolly from Canada, and Solicitor and Barrister Amandeep from British Columbia joined the conference virtually
