NATIONAL SEMINAR CONCLUDES AT THE FACULTY OF AYURVEDA, TANTIA UNIVERSITY

A two-day national seminar, 'Divyodyam,' was jointly organized by the Faculty of Ayurveda at Tantia University, Sriganganagar College of Ayurvedic Science and Hospital, and IQAC. The chief guest at the closing session, Siddhalingesh M. Kudari, Chairman of the Board of Ayurveda at NCISM, New Delhi, mentioned the rules and other facilities according to the new curriculum. He stated that rules and laws are made in accordance with new systems, but the responsibility of practically implementing them lies with the teachers. Therefore, they should understand and enforce them.

Dr. Piyush Dwivedi (Jaipur), Prof. M.M. Saxena, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Praveen Sharma, Director (Research and Academic), Dr. Rishu Sharma, Principal of the Faculty of Ayurveda, Dr. K. S. Sukhdev, Executive Director, Dr. Vishal Chhabra, and Dr. Sakshi, stated that anatomy in modern medical science is said to be three hundred years old, but in Ayurveda, it is thousands of years old.

Dr. BL Mehra, Chairman of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine, said that we need to bridge the gap between what is being taught to students in Ayurveda and what is required today.

Dr. Govind Sahai Shukla, Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurveda University, Jodhpur, Vaidya Rakesh Sharma, former Chairman of the Board of Ethics and Registration at NCISM, New Delhi, who joined online, and Dr. Sanjeev Goyal, Registrar of Guru Ravidas Ayurveda University, Hoshiarpur, said that the future of Ayurveda is very bright.

There was special mention by the guests about the untiring efforts being made by Dr. Vishu Tantia, vice chairperson, in keeping the legacy of his parents in promoting health education.
