OUTSOURCED CREW WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE STRIKE/DHARNA PARDARSHAN BY VIOLATING THE ESMA ORDERS HAVE BEEN TERMINATED FROM THE SERVICES BY DIRECTING THE OUTSOURCING AGENCY.

Strike/Dharna pardarshan call was given by the outsourced Crew of Chandigarh Transport Undertaking and Chandigarh City Bus Service Society. As it was already envisioned that Crew may go on strike as such Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) orders were already in place and issued on behalf of Hon’ble Administrator, U.T., Chandigarh.
It is further mentioned that outsourced crew who participated in the Strike/Dharna pardarshan by violating the ESMA orders have been terminated from the services by directing the Outsourcing Agency.
Further, the drivers deployed by Bus operators who participated in the strike/dharna pardarshan, Notices have been issued to the bus Operators.
It is further mentioned that to Cope with the situation, some of the Crew who was operating Inter-State buses have been diverted on the City Buses so that commuters may not be affected.
Chandigarh Transport Undertaking ensures commuters that public convenience remains its foremost priority and this travelling measures are being undertaken solemnly to maintain interrupted public transport services for lakhs of daily commuters across the tricity regions and U.T. Chandigarh. And as such no tricity routes are being affected on account of Strike/Dharna Pardarshan.
