The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested the Branch Manager and a Contractual Employee of UP Gramin Bank, Durvasha Branch, District- Azamgarh, UP, while accepting a bribe of Rs. 20,000 from the complainant.
CBI registered the instant case on 05.12.2025 against the said accused. It is alleged that the accused Branch Manager and Contractual Employee demanded an undue advantage of Rs. 25,000 at the rate of 10% of the Kisan Credit Card Loan of Rs. 2,52,000 from the complainant, which was applied by him.
After negotiation, the accused agreed to accept a bribe of Rs. 20,000 from the complainant.
CBI laid a trap on 06.12.2025 and apprehended the accused Branch manager and the contractual employee red-handed while demanding and accepting undue advantage of Rs. 20,000 from the complainant. Both accused persons were arrested on 06.12.2025.
The trap proceedings are underway.
