Police reported to have nabs accused namely Nikhil Attwal @ Jimmy S/O Kamaljit R/O House No 3181 Sector 25 Dainik Bhaskar Colony Chandigarh age 27 years in case FIR No. 193, dated 02.12.2025, U/S 303(2) BNS added 317 (2) BNS, PS 34, Chd and recovered stolen passport of complainant (new & old), Adhaar card of complainant, 6430 Nepali currency, 410 Chinees currency, 200 American dollars from his possession.
Further some more items also recovered from accused, which was purchased by accused after converting some stolen foreign currency into rupees and purchased 1-Led TV, 1 geyser, 1-airtel extreme setup, 1-airtel wifi, sunflamechulla, gas cylinder, 2 iphone (13 max pro & 14 pro).
Police said, above mentioned case was registered on the complainant of Neeraj Verma S/o Sh. Ramesh Verma R/o 1412, Sector 22B, Chandigarh , said on 29.11.2025 at 04.30 PM he came to meet his relative in Landmark Hospital Sector 33, Chandigarh and he returned back at 06.30 PM and he found that the drive door of his Tata Hexa No. CH01BV2394 was opened and his black colour bag was placed on conductor Seat which contains items i.e. 2 Passport (a) H6926207(old) (b) Z5383294 (New), Debit Card and Credit Card of Indus land Bank , Debit Card, Credit Card, Forex card of Axis Bank, Foreign Currency 1200 US Dollar, 900 Yen, 20,000 Nepali Rupees 5. 10-12 Diamond Ring. The above said Black bag was stolen form his car by an unknown person.
During the course of investigation, Nikhil Attwal @Jimmy S/O Kamaljit R/O House No 3181 Sector 25 Dainik Bhaskar Colony Chandigarh age 27 years was arrested on 08.12.2025 and Passport of complainant (new & old), Adhaar card of complainant, 6430 Nepali currency have been recovered from him and his one day police remand was obtained and as per his disclosure statement raids have been conducted and in the instance of accused 410 Chinees currency, 200 American dollar have been recovered from his accommodation at Jhampur. Accused disclosed that he converted some foreign currency into rupees and purchased 1-Led TV, 1 geyser, 1-airtel extreme setup, 1-airtel wifi, sunflame chulla, gas cylinder, 2 iphone (13 max pro & 14 pro) which were recovered from his rented accommodation i.e. #48, Gali no. 1, Sai Enclave, village-Jhampur, Mohali.
