CHANDIGARH POLICE NABS TWO ROBBERS, CASH OF RS. 38500 AND RC RECOVERED

In a significant development police  successfully arrested two persons under robbery case FIR no. 116 dated 10.12.2025 U/S 309(4) BNS, Police Station Industrial Area, UT, Chandigarh.

The complaint  Vikash S/o Bhoop Ram R/o H.No. 1944, Amb Sahib Colony, Phase-11, Mohali, Age 22 years, apprised police that on the intervening night of 09/10.10.2025, at about 1:25 AM, he along with his relative was going to Sabzi Mandi, Sector-26, Chandigarh in their vehicle (ChhotaHathi) bearing No. PB-11-CF-7059. When they reached near Centra Mall Light Point, a green and yellow auto-rickshaw driver along with his associate stopped their vehicle, and by showing a knife, they snatched Rs. 56,000/- and documents from them and then fled away from the spot.

On the basis of the complainant’s statement andafter conducting a preliminary inquiry, the matter was found to disclose the commission of a serious offence punishable under Section 309(4) BNS, 2023. Accordingly, FIR No. 116 dated 10.12.2025 U/s 309(4) BNS, 2023 has been registered at Police Station Industrial Area, Chandigarh.

During the course of investigation, the accused persons namely  Subham S/o Munish Kumar R/o #843 Phase 1 Ram Darbar Chandigarh Age 24 years and Sagar S/o Lt Arjun R/o #953 Phase 1 Ram Darbar Chandigarh age 33 years were arrested on the same day. Further, 01-day police remand of both the above-named accused persons has been obtained from the Court of Sh. Kaushal Kumar Yadav, JMIC, Chandigarh.During their interrogation, a total recovery of ₹38,500/- & copy of RC has been effected from the accused persons.

Police said, both the accused are habitual offenders and involved in other criminal cases, at least 20 cases, registered in different police stations in Chandigarh.
