PARRY MURDER CASE: TWO ACCUSED ARRESTED FOR PROVIDING WEAPONS, VEHICLE AND SHELTER TO KILLERS

In a major breakthrough, the Panchkula Police Detective Staff has arrested two accused who provided weapons, mobile phones, SIM cards and a vehicle to the absconding killers involved in the murder of Inderpreet alias Parry in Chandigarh.

The arrested accused have been identified as Shivam Sharma (23) and Gopal Kumar (21), both residents of Faridkot, Punjab.Acting on a secret tip-off, the police apprehended both accused from the Kharar area on 14 December. 

DCP Crime & Traffic Manpreet Singh Soodan in a media attraction, said, that preliminary investigation revealed that Shivam Sharma is already involved in a drug trafficking case registered in Faridkot, while Gopal Kumar has two criminal cases related to violent clashes.

During interrogation, it was also disclosed that both accused, along with their associates Ankush and Piyush, were planning the murder of a youth named Ajay in Faridkot. The accused were also found to be involved in heroin trafficking.

The DCP further informed that the interrogation has revealed links of both accused with notorious criminal Harry Boxer. Shivam Sharma and Gopal Kumar had provided shelter in Pinjore to absconding accused Ankush and Piyush, who were involved in the murder of Sonu Nolta. 

Both accused were produced before the court on 15 December, from where they were remanded to five days police custody. During the remand period, intensive interrogation is underway to uncover further facts related to the case, including the weapon supply chain and the hideouts of absconding accused. Police officials expressed confidence that other accused involved in the murder will be arrested soon.

The investigation is being carried out under the supervision of ACP Crime Arvind Kamboj, led by Detective Staff Incharge Mandeep Singh and his team.
