HEALTH, SANITATION AND EMPLOYMENT FOR WOMEN CAMP HELD AT ABOHAR

The Department of Social Security and Women and Child Development organized a health, sanitation and employment camp for women at the auditorium of DAV College Abohar.

The Health Department organized a medical camp and the mass media team created awareness about the schemes of the Health Department, an exhibition was also organized regarding the health schemes. Dr. Saugat Jain, Paediatrician, Dr. Saurabh Narang, Dermatologist, Manbir Singh, Deputy Mass Media Officer, Mandeep Singh, Ophthalmic Officer and others were present.

Dr. Saurabh Narang said that the Health Department is continuously making efforts to stop fatal killing in connection with the PCPNDT Act. He gave information about fatal killing and its adverse effects on women's health and society.

Manbir Singh gave detailed information about the schemes of the Health Department like Ayushman Bharat Mukhya Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana, Janani Suraksha Yojana, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram etc.

Pamphlets regarding various schemes like Hepatitis B and C treatment, heart diseases, mental diseases, cancer, AIDS, drug addiction, NCD. Diseases, dental health, eye diseases and other diseases and schemes were also distributed. The general public was made aware about taking full advantage of the health schemes provided by the Health Department, avoiding drugs, and non-communicable diseases.
