NAVKAR MAHAMANTRA MAHA JAAP HELD AT PUNJAB LOK BHAVAN WITH A RESOLVE FOR WORLD PEACE AND HUMAN WELFARE

Face2News/Chandigarh

A grand Maha Jaap of the Navkar Mahamantra was successfully held at Punjab Lok Bhavan with the spirit of world peace, human welfare, and universal harmony. Organised during the two-day visit of Shraman Sanghiya Advisor Dinesh Muni, the programme witnessed the participation of the Governor of Punjab, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, his wife Smt. Anita Kataria, and family members in the chanting of the mantra. Devotees also took part in the collective spiritual practice. The rhythmic recitation illuminated the auditorium with spiritual energy, creating an atmosphere marked by discipline, peace, and deep meditative absorption.

Addressing the gathering, the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, said that the Navkar Mahamantra is not a hymn in praise of any individual or incarnation, but a mantra dedicated to the virtues of the Panch Parmeshthis, Arihant, Siddha, Acharya, Upadhyaya, and Sadhu. He described it as a bridge of interfaith harmony that rises above narrow religious boundaries. The Governor said that the mantra inspires inner purification and guides a person towards compassion, self-restraint, and wisdom.

Shraman Sanghiya Advisor Dinesh Muni, in his discourse, described the Navkar Mahamantra as beginningless, infinite, and the supreme mantra. He said it inspires the worship of virtues rather than individuals. According to him, chanting the mantra with faith and devotion generates positive energy, provides mental peace and inner strength, and guides the seeker on the path to liberation. “It is Sarva Mangalam Mangalayam (the most auspicious of all),” he said.

During the Maha Jaap, the rhythmic resonance of “Namo Arihantanam…” filled Punjab Lok Bhavan with spiritual vibrations. The programme concluded with a collective resolve for world peace, environmental protection, the welfare of humanity, and the promotion of non-violence.
