NEWLY WED AND NEW-BORN BABIES FELICITATED AT SHRI RAM SHARNAM

The Lohri festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Shri Ram Sharnam complex here. During the prayer service, a collective prayer was offered for world peace and prosperity.

Chief Sewak Madan Lal Bhalotia extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all the devotees present at the Guru Darbar, and briefly explained the history of the Lohri and Maghi festivals.

The sacred and divine Amrit Vani, composed by Swami Shri Satyanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj, was recited musically. Ankush Dhawan, Rekha Chawla, Renuka Tandon, Aruna Bhalotia, Medha Bhalotia, Kanta Bathla, Rama Kukkar, Deepali Rajoria, Ashima Bhalotia and Poonam Chopra created a joyful atmosphere with their melodious bhajans.

New-born babies and their families were honored by the Shri Ram Sharnam family with best wishes for a prosperous life. Newlywed couples were also felicitated with precious gifts. All the devotees devoutly lit the sacred fire of the Lohri festival. All of them prayed before the holy fire for the happiness of themselves and their families, and offered oblations to be freed from poverty and suffering. Prasad of sesame seeds, peanuts, rewari, gajak, and dry fruits were distributed.
