PUNJAB GOVT ANNOUNCES SCHOOL HOLIDAYS TILL JANUARY 17 DUE TO SEVERE COLD

Punjab Government has announced holidays in view of the prevailing severe cold conditions, keeping in mind the health and safety of students and teachers.

Mr. Harjot Bains, Education Minister, in his tweet on X, said, all government, aided, recognized and private schools across the state will remain closed up to Class 10 till January 17, 2026. Teachers handling these classes may conduct online classes for students during this period.

He said, for Classes 11 and 12, regular classes will continue at school premises only, with revised timings from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. These orders will come into force with immediate effect. 

The Schools will re -open on Monday January 19 as January 18 as Sunday Holiday.
