NATIONAL VOTERS DAY CELEBRATED AT DISTRICT LEVEL IN FAZILKA

National Voters Day was celebrated at the district level today at P.M. Sri Government Girls Senior Secondary School Fazilka. District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu IAS attended as the chief guest. Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Dr. Mandeep Kaur and SDM Jalalabad Kanwarjit Singh Mann were present.

The DC said that the aim is to make people aware about our responsibility towards democracy. He gave a message to the new voters who have completed the age of 18 and said that you have become a part of a strong democracy, therefore it is necessary to understand its importance.

All the attendees also took the voter pledge. The message of the Chief Election Commissioner of India, Gyanesh Kumar was also broadcast here.

PWD District Icon Rekha left an impression of her talent with an impressive dance performance. She was honoured on the occasion. ERO cum SDM of Jalalabad assembly constituency Kanwarjit Singh Mann was given the best ERO award. BLO Amandeep Singh was honored by the District Election Officer. Principal Savtantar Pathak was also present on this occasion.
