BUSINESS CONCLAVE PROPOSED BYBRICS CCI IN DHARAMSHALA

During the HIM MSME Fest 2026 in Shimla, BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BRICS CCI)signing aMemorandum of Commitment (MoC)with the Government of Himachal Pradesh. The strategic collaboration is BRICS CCI’s first formal tie up with any hill state and aims to promote Himachal Pradesh as a preferred investment destination across BRICS CCI’s international platforms and programmes.
Under the MoC, BRICS CCI (a not for profit) will partner with the State to curate joint events, incoming and outgoing business delegations, sector specific seminars, and high impact business forums, with a special focus on trade and investment facilitation. As an early outcome of this partnership, a Russian investment exceeding ₹500 crore in the pharmaceuticals sector has been facilitated through BRICS CCI, underscoring the State’s growing attractiveness for value added, innovation led manufacturing.
With India assuming the BRICS Presidency in 2026 under the theme “Building Resilience and Innovation for Cooperation and Sustainability,”the BRICS CCI, in collaboration with the Government of Himachal Pradesh, intends to host a BRICS business engagement in Dharamshala sometime in March 2026. The conclave will convene industry leaders, investors, and trade bodies from BRICS member countries and other partner economies to explore co investment, technology transfer, supply chain partnerships, and export market access—particularly in pharmaceuticals, food processing, green mobility, renewable energy, tourism & hospitality, textiles & handloom, IT/AI enabled services, and agriculture value chains.
