On the orders of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, a TGT Hindi teacher of Government Senior Secondary School, Kanipla, has been suspended.

A case under the POCSO Act had been registered against the teacher for allegedly misbehaving with a schoolgirl, and he was arrested in the matter. Following a complaint raised by the victim’s family during the Jan Samvad programme at Ladwa, Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini directed that the teacher be suspended. Acting immediately on these orders, the Director General of the Haryana Elementary Education Department suspended the teacher, Sameer Kaushik.

On Wednesday, during the Jan Samvad at Ladwa, the family of the victim student informed Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini that their daughter studies at Government Senior Secondary School, Kanipla, and that teacher Sameer Kaushik had misbehaved with her.

A complaint was lodged with the police, following which an FIR was registered on December 19 under various sections, and the accused teacher was arrested. However, the teacher had not been suspended till then. Taking the matter seriously, Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini issued directions over the phone to senior officers at the Panchkula headquarters to ensure the immediate suspension of the accused teacher.
