BASANT MAHOTSAV MARKED WITH JOY, COLOURS AND CREATIVITY

A grand and colorful Basant Mahotsav was organized to welcome the spring season at LRS DAV Senior Secondary School, Abohar. Students of various schools along with their parents participated enthusiastically in many activities and competitions.

Under the Basant Mahotsav, creative and interesting competitions like message on kite, Udaan-e-Patang, Suron ki Basant, Nacho Basant ke Sang, Rangoli competition and Bekar ko Aakar were organised.

The role of judges in various competitions was performed by Dr. Deepam Chalana, Amita Sharma, Iti Bagai, Gurcharan Singh, Asha, Krishna, Jasmine Singla, Alka Satija, Kiran Grover and Raman Saluja. Vice Chairperson of the school, Charu Ahuja was the chief guest.

Principal Smita Sharma said that the school is always conscious about environmental protection. The purpose of celebrating the festivals and festivals associated with the seasons with respect is to develop the student’s sensitivity towards nature, environmental consciousness and a sense of understanding the beauty of seasonal changes. The school campus was decorated like a bride with various colorful artefacts made by the children. Especially attractive arrangements of entertaining activities and creative game stalls were made for the little children, where they enjoyed to the fullest.
