DAV COLLEGE, ABOHAR ORGANIZES 63RD ATHLETICS MEET

The 63rd Athletics Meet of the DAV College, Abohar was organised successfully after welcoming distinguished guests. Dr. Ashutosh, HoD, Physical Education Department, initially explained the purpose of the event to the students. Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Mahajan encouraged the students to pursue their goals with discipline and dedication, and urged them to continue to advance the college's glory in this way.

Prof. Pushpinder Singh Gill, Vice Chancellor of Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University, graced the occasion with his presence as the chief guest. He encouraged students to participate in sports with the right spirit. What students learn on the sports field is also useful in their lives. He explained his vision on identifying talent and exhorted youths to keep away from drugs.

Special guest, MLA Sandeep Jakhar enlightened about the initiatives taken up under the “Nashon se door, Khelon ki aur” campaign. Vimal Thatai, Mayor and Lekhak Parishad president Raj Sadosh were also present.

Shreya of BPEd-1 was selected as the best female athlete, and Harman BCA-3 was adjudged as the best male athlete. Prizes were distributed to the winning students.
