BK Golo was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Contributions to Renewable Energy in Rajasthan by Swami Keshvanand Institute of Technology, Management and Gramotthan (SKIT), Jaipur. In their laudation, they acknowledged his lifelong work in renewable energy, sustainability, and global environmental awareness. Please see the attached report for photos and more details.
BK Golo delivered a keynote speech and presentation at the two-day conference at the SKIT Institute. He emphasised that faith, ethics, and technology must go together in innovations for the future. When we meditate and cultivate silence and awareness, we begin to feel the sacredness of nature. Renewable energy then becomes more than a technical project – it becomes a spiritual expression of respect for life.
Participating in a panel discussion on renewable energy and sustainability, he explained the importance of always considering the common good and integrating long-standing spiritual and ethical principles, such as peace and compassion, into all projects. He highlighted that only beneficial technologies should be introduced and that spirituality can help bring well-tested ethical principles back into society and governance.
Golo was born in Germany and has studied Raj Yoga meditation since 1984. He lives at the BK headquarters in Mount Abu most of the year. Since 1993, he has played a key role in establishing the Brahma Kumaris as one of the major users of renewable energies in India.
