BSF deployed troops responded promptly and successfully thwarted the attempt, he said, while addin that the operation resulted in a substantial recovery of narcotics from the spot.

The AIG said that further investigation is underway to trace the local smuggler to unravel the entire network. In this regard, a case FIR No. 07 dated 21-03-2026 has been registered under sections 21-C and 29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station SSOC Fazilka.
