CBI COURT SENTENCES FORMER SUB-INSPECTOR OF DELHI POLICE TO THREE YEARS RI IN A BRIBERY CASE

The CBI Court Delhi on Tuesday convicted and sentenced Jagmal Singh Deshwal, the then Sub-Inspector & ZO, Nangloi Traffic Circle, Delhi Traffic Police, Delhi, to Rigorous Imprisonment for 3 Years with a Fine of Rs 50,000 in a bribery case.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered the instant case on 08.02.2022 against the said accused. It was alleged that the accused demanded illegal gratification/undue advantage of Rs. 24,000 from the complainant for allowing entry and passing of trucks of the complainant through the zone where the accused was posted.

The CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while demanding and accepting the illegal gratification/undue advantage of Rs. 24,000 from complainant.

After completion of investigation, CBI filed Chargesheet on 26.07.2022 against the accused Jagmal Singh.

The Hon’ble Court, after the trial, convicted and sentenced the accused accordingly.
