DBU INAUGURATES INFORMATION AND CAREER COUNSELLING CENTRE IN CHANDIGARH

Desh Bhagat University (DBU), Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab, marked a significant milestone in its mission to empower students through career guidance and academic support with the inauguration of its Information and Career Counselling Centre (ICC) at Dreams Academy, Sector 46-C, Chandigarh.

The centre was formally inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, who attended the event as the Chief Guest. The occasion was graced by academicians, students, media representatives, and other distinguished guests.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sadawarti emphasized the growing importance of making informed career decisions in today’s dynamic and competitive environment. He highlighted that the newly established centre will serve as a dedicated platform for students to access reliable information on higher education, skill development, and emerging career opportunities. He further reiterated the University’s commitment to bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements through such forward-looking initiatives.

The Information and Career Counselling Centre aims to offer comprehensive support to students, including personalized counselling sessions, career planning guidance, admission assistance, and awareness about various academic programmes offered by the University. Mr. Amit Kukreja, OSD to the President, and Dr. Gurlal Singh of DBU were also present on the occasion.

On this occasion, Mr. Basanta Jena, Director of Dreams Academy, expressed his appreciation for the collaboration. He commended the efforts of Desh Bhagat University in expanding its outreach and providing valuable resources to help students make well-informed career choices.

The event concluded with an interactive session followed by a vote of thanks, reinforcing the shared vision of both institutions to promote quality education and enhance career readiness among the youth.
