4,000 SAPLINGS PLANTED AT BSF CAMPUS IN SRIKARANPUR

A large-scale tree plantation drive was conducted today at the 118 BSF Battalion headquarters campus in Srikaranpur, during which 4,000 saplings were planted. Battalion Commandant Kamal Singh Rathore, Second-in-Command officers Rajnish Kumar and Yogeshwar Das, Deputy Commandants Narayan Lal and Sher Singh, Assistant Commandants Shiju C. and Arkaprava Simlai along with soldiers participated enthusiastically in the campaign.

Representatives from the Sriganganagar-based NGO ‘Friends of Nature’—including Advocate Pushpendra Swami, Ashish Agarwal, Gaurav Sharma, and Suresh Agarwal—as well as Bar Association President Hansraj Taneja, were present at the event. Advocate Arman Setia (‘Map of Happiness’), Advocate Ashish Agarwal (‘Seva Sahyog Satkar Foundation’), dance instructor Shweta, office-bearers from various NGOs, and dozens of volunteers actively participated. Through their collective efforts, a total of 4,000 saplings of various species were planted within the battalion premises.

All those present pledged to strive continuously for environmental conservation and the expansion of green cover, expressing a commitment to organize similar tree plantation drives in the future. The BSF expressed its gratitude to all the social organizations and volunteers.
