HARYANA STF INTENSIFIED CRACKDOWN ON GANGSTERS, 47 MOST WANTED HELD AMONGST 180 OTHERS

Haryana’s Special Task Force (STF) set up to deal with organised crime has not only reined in gangs perpetrating crimes such as kidnapping, contract killing, extortion, loot and dacoity during 2021 but also performed exceedingly well by apprehending 47 most wanted criminals, 16 gangsters/members and 164 other offenders involved in the heinous crime.

While sharing this information here today, Director General of Police (DGP) Haryana, Sh. P.K. Agrawal said that the STF had been constantly staging a massive crackdown on various gangs and criminals involved in organised crimes, and drugs trafficking across the state.

(SUBHEAD)Disclosing some of the major catches, he further added that STF had arrested most wanted gangster Sube Gujjar from Delhi Airport, who carried a collective reward of Rs 7.5 lakh from the Police of Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Besides, Ashok Shoki and Monu Kumar carrying bounty were also nailed by STF.

Setting an example of smart policing, STF has busted an illegal international call centre set up in Ambala district which was duping innocent people shopping online from e-commerce platforms. In addition, the STF team has also busted a gang involved in solving the papers of various entrance exams like SSC, CHSL, MTS, Railways, NEET and IIT, etc. which were conducted via. both online and offline mode.

The DGP also applauded the STF chief IGP Sh. B. Sateesh Balan and his entire team for constantly making crackdown against the active gangs involved in organized crime with an iron hand. In addition, STF is also working in tandem with police units to supplement the drive against the drug mafia operating in the state as well as recovery of a large quantity of illegal arms across the state.
