PUNJAB SCORED 444 RUNS IN THE FIRST INNINGS, HARYANA TRAILS BY 240 RUNS AT THE END OF THE SECOND DAY'S PLAY

On the second day of the league match being played between PUNJAB and HARYANA at Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi, Punjab team started from their overnight score of 368 runs and ended up making 444 runs, all out in 111 overs (1st Innings). Punjab Batsmen Mandeep Singh remained unbeaten at 159 runs, which included 16 boundaries and 2 sixes.

For Haryana Bowlers Aman Kumar claimed 4 wickets giving away 88 runs, AK Chahal took 3 wickets , Anshul Kamboj took 2 wickets and HJ Rana took 1 Wicket.

Haryana batting order stumbled initially when openers SG Rohilla and Mayank Shandilya returned to pavilion when the team score was just 4 runs in the second over of the innings. Batsmen HJ Rana with 113 runs in 177 balls and YR Sharma with 69 runs in 86 balls were at the crease when the days play ended. Haryana Team made 204 runs losing their 3 wickets in 57 overs and was trailing by 240 runs.

For Punjab Bowlers Siddarth Kaul claimed 2 wickets giving away 49 runs and Baltej Singh took 1 wicket giving away 41 runs.
