Chandigarh Shuttlers Badminton Club ( formed by sports enthusiasts and International Badminton players of the city) under the aegis of Chandigarh Badminton Association is hosting a 4 day Masters All India Badminton Tournament from 14th to 17th April at Sector 38 , Sports Complex , Chandigarh.
Players in the age group 35+, 40+, 45+,50+,55+, 60+, 65+,70+ from all over India are participating in this tournament. “ The response has been overwhelming with more than 1000 entries and 500+ players including ex Olympians and international badminton players who brought laurels to India in the past are participating.” Said Mr Surinder Mahajan, Secretary Chandigarh Badminton Association.
“This tournament is to promote health and fitness and is focused at age group 35+ for both men and women and we have players of age of 75 years also participating “said a beaming Pankaj Naithani , Secretary of Chandigarh Shuttlers Badminton Club.
“This tournament is one of the biggest in the Masters Category and to motivate all participants cash prizes to the tune of Rs 8 Lacs along with trophies and gifts for all participants have been organized “added Naithani.
SBI seeing the magnitude and cause of the tournament has extended support as the TITLE Sponsors.
