CYCLOTHON ORGANIZED BY PCRA COMMEMORATING 75 YEARS OF INDIA’S INDEPENDENCE

Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) in collaboration with Yuvsatta-NGO organised a Cyclothon in the city today. As many as 200 students participated from five schools – St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, KB DAV Sr. Sec. Public School, DAV Model School, MRA Sr. Sec. Public School and Govt. Girls Model Sr. Sec. School, Sector 18C, Chandigarh. 

Debendra Dalai, CCF cum Director, Department of Environment, Chandigarh Administration who was the Chief Guest at the event flagged off the bicycle rally from Parade Ground, Sector 17 which concluded at Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh. 

Sharing the information about this unique initiative, Hemant Soni, Joint Director of PCRA shared that in an effort to feel proud of our nation, PCRA is organizing many such initiatives commemorating the 75 years of India’s Independence. (SUBHEAD)

Ms. Pooja Prasad , Deputy Director, PCRA was also present on the occasion. On the occasion, Debendra Dalai honoured the representatives of participating schools and appreciated the noble endeavour of PCRA. Dalai said that such programmes always fostered the feeling of oneness by creating platforms that allow the citizens of the country to come together, and celebrate in unison while understanding each other. 

He added that “All 200 participating students from five prominent schools of the city looked infused to spread this spirit of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava’, which will motivate many other people.”
