CHANDIGARH POLICE ORGANISED DRUG AWARENESS PROGRAMMES IN VARIOUS PLACES

Drug Abuse Awareness Team of Chandigarh Police under the close guidance of Sh. Kuldeep Singh Chahal, UT, Chandigarh organised drug Abuse Awareness camp/programmes at Community Centre, Mauli Jagran, and near Laxmi Narayan Mandir, Sector-20, Chandigarh, respectively in morning and evening time.

In these awareness camp/programmes, the officials of Drug Abuse Awareness Team of Crime Branch, Police Station, Mauli Jagran, Police Station-19, Dr. Dramit Drivedi from Arya Hospital, Mani Majra, Insp. Jaivir Singh, SHO/PS-Mauli Jagran and Ms.Mini Bhardwaj, SHO/PS-19, Chandigarh and Nukkad Natak team members have taken part and aware general public as well as children about the bad effects of drugs on human body and how to stay away from drugs.

A Nukkad Natak was presented by Desi Rang Manch, NGO of Chandigarh headed by SI Satyawan posted at Crime Branch. In the Nukkad Natak, the team spread among the participants about the bad effect of drugs in their life.All the participants also took pledge, On “Say no to drugs, Yes to life”

These programmes are being conducted continued since 12.06.2022 for the fortnight period till 26.06.2022 in connection with the observation of 26th June as the International Day against Drug Abuse and illicit Trafficking. Further, the public were also apprised about the ways being used by drug peddlers for using and supplying the drugs among children and youths and there is requirement to remain always away from such bad elements of society. The pamphlets, stickers, caps, pens andT-Shits were also distributed among children with refreshments.
