CONVENTION ON NATURAL FARMING ORGANISED AT SARANGPUR

Abohar: On the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee of India’s Independence and the Birth Centenary of Pramukh Swami Maharaj the District Administration of Botad, in association with BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha organized a convention on ‘natural farming’ for farmers at Sarangpur.

Acharya Devvrat ji, Governor of Gujarat graced the event that was attended by more than 1,700 farmers. Also on the stage were Ghanshyam Bhai Virani (President, Botad Zila Panchayat), Saurabh Bhai Patel MLA, D.V. Barot (Director of ATMA), B.A. Shah (Collector), P.D. Palsana (DDO) and Gnaneshwar Swami (Head Swami, BAPS Sarangpur).(SUBHEAD)

The Governor visited the BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamandir, Yagnapurush Wadi and Yagnapurush Gaushala. He was delighted with the functioning of these institutes. He had darshan in the main mandir and visited stalls set up by local farmers displaying their products produced through natural farming.

In the convention, B.A. Shah, Collector of Botad welcomed the audience.

Following the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, Gnaneshwar Swami read out the blessings of BAPS spiritual head Mahant Swami Maharaj.

The Governor delivered an interactive, engaging, and inspiring keynote address, highlighting the benefits of using natural farming techniques and the ill effects of using chemicals such as pesticides and fertilizers. He urged the farmers to gradually switch over to natural farming techniques.
