In major breakthrough Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh has got success by arresting the accused namely Prashant and Deepuboth R/o Phase-1, Ramdarbar, and solved the recently registered mobile snatching case FIR No.93 dated 20.06.2022 u/s 379A, 34IPC of Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarhwithin few hours under close guidance of Sh Charanjit Singh Virk, CPS, DSP/South Divisionand under the supervision of Inspector Ranjit Singh, SHO/PS-31, Chandigarh.
Present case was registered on the complaint ofAmit Kumar R/o Budanpur, Panchkula, Haryana reported that today i.e. 20.06.2022 he was coming to Plot No 72, Indl Area, Phase-II, Chandigarh for some work. At about 01:00 PM when he reached near Plot No. 72 while using his mobile (make Redmi bearing IMEI No. 861568065189080) two boys on activa came from backside, snatched his mobile phone and fled away from the spot.
In this regard a special team was constituted consisting ASI Surjit Singh, ASI SambhuNath, Sr. C ParveenMor, C. Neeraj, C. Krishan Sangwan, C. Naveenof PS-31who succeeded in arresting mobile snatchers namely Prashant and Deepu both R/o Phase-1, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh and recovered snatched mobile and Activa used in snatching from their possession.
Both accused were produced before the Hon’ble Court and one day police remand of accused has been granted. Total value of mobileis approx.. 20,000/-Further investigation is in progress.
