Constable Jaimal Singh, age 34 years, posted at the Subsidiary Training Unit of New Delhi District died by suicide at his office room situated at Police Station Mandir Marg Complex, New Delhi. The incident took place in the evening of Frida The deceased is survived by his wife and a five-year-old son.
Initial enquiry has revealed that the deceased was undergoing treatment at the CKRDM Hospital and Research Institute, Jaipur and also at the Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi in connection with distress, restlessness, anxiety, depression, etc. A suicide note was also recovered from the spot and the same is being enquired into.
Inquest proceedings under section 174 Cr.P.C. has been initiated. Family of deceased was informed and statements of his family members, colleagues and relatives have been recorded. Further enquiry is in progress. This was said by Dr. Hemant Tiwari , IPS, Addl. Deputy Commissioner of Police.
