Commenting on the presentation of a review of the crime situation on the basis of a report by MLA Aman Arora, who addressed the Aam Aadmi Party during the assembly session, local MLA Sandeep Jakhar said that AAP leaders had earlier announced to implementthe Delhi Model in Punjab schools. It was opposed not only by various political parties but also by educationists and social workers, raising the question that when Punjab's education model has been considered the best in the national survey, then where is the need for the Delhi Model.
He said that the top AAP leaders had objected to the validity of the survey related to education, calling it fake, while the high-level survey team had visited the schools in Punjab during the tenure of the previous government and on the basis of the data presented, Punjab was ranked first. During the tenure of the previous government, the scheme of smart schools attracted thousands of students from non-government schools due to the free education being provided in government schools with better facilities.(SUBHEAD)
On the other hand, when various political leaders asked the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party why thousands of vacancies were not filled in the schools of Delhi and why the work is being done with the help of adhoc staff, the AAP leaders of Delhi and Punjab skipped the reply.
After coming to power, AAP has termed the survey about schools in Punjab as fake with the intention of imposing the Delhi Model but now in other cases surveys and reports done by the Center are being cited. AAP’s double face has been exposed by this. Thousands of teachers, headmasters and students worked hard to bring Punjab to the first place in the matter of education, the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party are even shying away from applauding them, Jakhar said.
