The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) reported to have arrested an employee of Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Najafgarh, Delhi in a bribery of Rs. One lakh.
A case was registered against an Assistant Engineer, MCD, Najafgarh, Delhi & an employee of MCD, Najafgarh, Delhi on complaint. It was alleged that the Assistant Engineer, MCD Najafgarh, Delhi was demanding bribe of Rs. 3 lakh through an employee of MCD, Najafgarh, Delhi for allowing the complainant to construct slabs/lenter of his house.
CBI laid a trap and caught the said employee of MCD, Najafgarh while accepting the bribe of Rs.1,00,000/- for himself and on behalf of Assistant Engineer, MCD Najafgarh, Delhi. Searches were conducted at the premises of accused which led to recovery of few incriminating documents.
The arrested accused was produced before the Competent Court, Delhi and remanded to two days Police Custody.
