The staff of PS Neb Sarai, South District has done commendable work by busting a fake call centre and arrested 12 persons namely Adarsh, Naveen, Pradeep, Md. Saifuddin, Nitin, Praveen Chauhan, Rahul, Brijesh, Sahiba Khatun @ Twinkle, Abha, Monika & Mohit Verma in case FIR No. 435/22 u/s 419/420/120B/34 IPC PS Neb Sarai. Upon their instance, 09 desktop systems along with internet router and TP link modems have been recovered.
A secret information was received in PS Neb Sarai that a call center duping citizens of USA was running at IGNOU Road, Neb Sarai. Accordingly, a team comprising of SI Aman Kumar, SI Vineet Kumar, HC Hemraj, HC Vikram Singh, Ct. Kartar led by Inspr. Surender Rana, SHO/Neb Sarai under overall supervision of Sh. Ram Sunder, ACP/Sangam Vihar was formed to act swiftly.
In the intervening night of 30-6/01-7-20220, a trap was laid at and aroud the Plot No. 2, H. No. 166, 1st floor, Opp to Balhara Hospital, IGNOU Road, Neb Sarai. On pointing out of informer a raid was conducted and it was found that a setup of computers and accessories were installed in the premises. Several persons were receiving the calls and were engaged in communicating with the victims. They were impersonating themselves as Amazon representative.(SUBHEAD)
Mr.Pawan Kumar, Addl. Deputy Commissioner of Police, South District, said, accused by using computer Apps- Team Viewer, Zoho Assist, they dupe the victim and cause the wrongful loss through gift cards redeemed on Amazon. Total 12 persons were apprehended who were identified as Adarsh, Naveen, Pradeep, Md. Saifuddin, Nitin, Praveen Chauhan, Rahul, Brijesh, Sahiba Khatun @ Twinkle, Abha, Monika & Mohit Verma. (owner) Further, 09 desktop systems along with internet router and TP link modems, recovered from their possion.. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 435/22 u/s 419/420/120B/34 IPC was registered in PS Neb Sarai and investigation was taken up.

Age-22 yrs., Praveen Chauhan S/o Vijay Chauhan R/o Laxmi Nagar, Delhi. Age-28 Yrs., Rahul S/o Suresh R/o Khasra No.322, Neb Sarai, Delhi. Age-19 Yrs. Permanent resident of Village Chak, Begampur, Moradabad, UP., Brijesh S/o Ghanshram R/o Chungi Choraha, near Parivar Hospital, Jhanshi, U.P. Age 21 yrs., Sahiba Khatun @ Twinkle D/o Sahib Ali R/o, Sarita Vihar, Delhi. Age-18 yrs, Abha D/o Pungadev R/o West Sagarpur, Janakpuri, Delhi. Age-24 yrs, Monika D/o Omprakash R/o Pushp Vihar, Saket, Delhi. Age 24 yrs and owner Owner – Mohit Verma S/o Late Ram Niwas R/o Kuber building, Maidan Garhi, Delhi Age-25 yrs.
RECOVERY: 9 desktop systems along with internet router and TP link modems.
The staff involved in good work is being suitably rewarded.
