VAANI, VADYA, MEHUL AND PRATITI CLAIM TT TITLES

Chandigarh (Face2News)

Vaani (cadet girls Under-13), Vadya of St. Stephen's School (cadet boys Under-13), Mehul (Coaching Centre Sec 50) (Hope boys U-11) and Pratiti (Hope boys U-11) won the singles titles in their respective categories of the first Chandigarh State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament at the Sector 50 Table Tennis Stadium here today.

In the Hopes girls category, Pratiti of Tender Heart School beat Garvita in straight sets by 3 games to nil. In the Hopes boys category, Mehul of Coaching Centre Sector 50 got the better of Japishit of Coaching Centre Sec 23 with the same set score.

In the Cadet girls category (Under 13 years) Vani of St. Joseph's School beat Teetiksha of the same school in a well contested 3-1 final match. In the Cadet Boys singles category (under 13 years) Vadya of St. Stephen's School got the better of Abhinav of Shishu Niketan in three straight games by defeating him with a set score 3-0. 

The tournament was inaugurated by Deputy Mayor Anoop Gupta. Ward Councillor of Sector 50 Rajinder Sharma was the guest of honour.
