The staff of Police Station Yamuna Depot Metro, Delhi has arrested an accused namely Rajesh Chand Meena S/o Kamal Singh R/o Kalyanpuri Delhi for molesting and harassing a woman for a long time in case dated 07.07.2022 u/s 354/354A/354D/506 IPC, PS YDM, Delhi.
Keeping the gravity of the growing incidents of MO-Women cases, number of team lead by Inspector Prahlad Matsaya, SHO YDM, under the supervision of Sh. Om Prakash Meena, ACP/south Metro and overall supervision of the undersigned have been detailed at all busy metro station to stop such incidents, as Prevention of crime particularly for the safety of women commuters is one of the top most priority of Metro Police.
(MOREPIC2) A PCR Call was received in PS YDM vide DD No. 19 on 07.07.2022 from station controller of IP Extn Metro station, in which a lady was eve teased by a person. Immediately, the call was assigned to a team of ASI Santosh Kumar alongwith W/Ct Pronita & Ct Robin, who reached at the spot, where the station controller produced a lady victim and accused person.
(SUBHEAD)During enquiry, the lady victim told that she is working as a primary teacher in the School of Delhi.On 07.07.2022 after school, while she went to MCD office, for office work, she observed that a person was chasing her. After that she went to take metro train from IP Extn. Metro Station, where she again found that person at metro station. When she entered inside the lift at IP Extn. Metro Station, that man also entered the lift with her and there was no one there except the two of them, that man forcibly pressing her breast and threatening that for not disclose the incident to other, failing which he will kill her.
The victim further stated that earlier too approx a year and a half ago, she makes complaint’s in department as well as in police station also in which accused promised her that he never harassed or trace her in future. On the basis of her statement, a case dated 07/07/2022, U/S 354/354A/354D/506 IPC PS YDM has been registered.
Mr. Jitendra Mani, DCP, Meri, said, during interrogation accused disclosed his name as Rajesh Chand Meena S/o Kamal Singh R/o Kalyanpuri Delhi and working as primary teacher in Gokulpuri, Delhi. Sustained interrogation of accused Rajesh Chand Meena was made. It was surfaced that the accused was already used to chase and harass the complainant who had complained to him many times.
