TARA SHAH AND BHARAT RAGHAV WIN SINGLES TITLES IN KRISHNA KHAITAN BADMINTON

Tara Shah of Maharashtra and second seed Bharat Raghav of Haryana were crowned girls and boys under-19 singles champions, respectively in the 29th Smt. Krishna Khaitan Yonex-Sunrise All India Junior (U-19) Ranking Badminton Tournament 2022 at Multipurpose Hall, Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Panchkula here today.

Down by a game Tara reorganised her gameplan to bounce back into the game with a vengeance to shock third seed Devika Sihag of Haryana in the well-contested 54-minute title contest.

Second seeded Bharat Raghav of Haryana, also staged a remarkable recovery after losing the first game against sixth seed Sanskar Saraswat of Rajasthan. The local shuttler took 39 minutes to down his opponent by 13-21 21-7 21-17 to emerge champion.

Third seeded Karnataka pair of Nicholas Nathan Raj and Tushar Suveer defeated Arsh Mohammad (UP) /Sanskar Saraswat (RAJ) 18-21 21-14 21-19 in the boys doubles final.

The girls doubles title was claimed by Tamil Nadu duo of Shreya Balaji and Srinidhi N. who displayed better coordination to down Navya Kanderi (AP) and Rakshitha Sree S. (TN) 21-19 21-11 in 33 minutes
