IAS officer Akash Bansal (Punjab 2019) took over as SDM here on Thursday.
Tehsildar Sukhbir Kaur, Naib Tehsildars Avinash Chander Seetogunno and Jagsir Singh Abohar, Superintendent Hardeep Kaur, Akash Chaudhary and other staff welcomed him with a bouquet.
The SDM held a meeting with the officers and employees and asked them to work for the public interest. He said that after assuming office, his first goal would be to get the stalled development works started and completed in Abohar. The residents of the sub division will not face any kind of problem. Their problems will be solved in a transparent manner.
Notably Akash Bansal, a UPSC topper, had got AIR 76 in CSE 2018 and has served as SDM at different places in the state.
