Acting upon a source input, one Manjit Singh s/o sh. Saroop Singh Mehal r/o Mehal Farms,, Bhondsi, Gurugram, Haryana has been arrested vide FIR No.205/2022 dated 18.07.2022 u/s 25/54/59 PS Special Cell. Manjit Singh was apprehended from under Metro Bridge, near Red Light, Sector-9, Dwarka Delhi.
A blank fire pistol make ZORAKI M.O.D.914, 9MM P.A.K, ATAK ARMS LTD, has been recovered from his possession. Accused Manjit Singh is wanted in the recent case of recoveries of foreign made pistols recovered from Jagjit Singh & Mrs Jasvinder Kaur at IGI Airport on 11th July 2022.(SUBHEAD)
He had also sent consignment of contraband pistols to India through the foreign post office (FPO). The accused was produced before the outer and 5 days police custody has been obtained to ascertain the source of weapons , the mode of smuggling the same into India and the possible disposal (end users). Further investigation is underway.
