(MOREPIC1) General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, Lt General JS Nain visited the Laungewala Brigade wherein he was briefed on the operational readiness and administrative excellence of the formation.
The Laungewala Brigade of the Indian Army based at Alwar is famed for its operations in the 1971 War wherein the famous battle of Laungewala was fought at the Western Front.
He also took stock of various other activities that was undertaken by the formation like aid to civil administration and additional development initiatives in the station. The Army Commander exhorted all ranks to be prepared for all challenges, remain professionally competent and constantly evolve tactics, techniques and procedures to fight the “Future Wars”. During interaction with troops, he appreciated the efforts put in by all ranks in maintaining a high state of morale and motivation.
Accompanying the Army Commander was his wife Mrs Anita Nain, Regional President, AWWA, Southern Command who visited ‘Umang Special Child Centre’ being run under the aegis of the Brigade Family Welfare Organisation. She was also briefed on various welfare activities being conducted under the aegis of Laungewala Brigade.
