TRAINING PROGRAMME ON INVESTIGATION OF CASES OF NDPS ACT ORGANISED

Under the guidance of Sh. Praveer Ranjan, IPS, DGP/UT, Chandigarh and under the supervision of Sh. Manoj Kumar Meena, IPS, SSP/HQrs. & Training, Chandigarh, a training program on investigation of cases under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985 and related laws was organized by Chandigarh Police in collaboration with Narcotics Control Bureau, Chandigarh in Recruit Training Centre, Sector-26, Chandigarh. 30 participants (Inspectors, SIs and ASIs) have attended this program. Sh. Rahul Saini, Intelligence Officer, NCB, Chandigarh and Inspector Narinder Patial, District Crime Cell, U.T., Chandigarh delivered lecture to the participants and answered their queries.

Chandigarh Police and Narcotics Control Bureau, Chandigarh have jointly prepared an Annual Training Calendar for imparting training to Chandigarh Police personnel regarding investigation of cases under NDPS Act & related laws, procedures etc. Today, first Training Program has been conducted. In future, during these training programs Hon’ble Judges and Public Prosecutors will also be called for interaction with participants.

The main objective of these training programs is to train the Chandigarh Police personnel for effective investigation of cases under NDPS Act and also to aware them regarding latest amendments in laws.
