GURVANSHBIR SINGH AND DILSHANBIR SINGH BAGS THREE GOLD AND THREE SILVER MEDALS IN THREE CATEGORIES, DISTRICT SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP AIR RIFLE CHAMPIONSHIP SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED AT DASS & BROWN

Guvanshbir Singh and Dilshanbir Singh of Dass and Brown World School proved their mettle in District Shooting Air Rifle Championship and bagged three gold and three silver medals respectively.
While Gurvanshibir won three gold medals in sub-youth, youth and senior categories, Dilshanbir won three silver medals as well in the same categories.
It is pertinent to mention here that the championship was organized by District Rifle Association at “Armour Shooting Range” of Dass and Brown World School in which RPF Commissioner Rajnish Tripathi participated as the Chief Guest while Brig. Navdeep Mathur (Retd.) Director Admin of DCM Group, Deputy Director Manjit Singh Dhillon, Deputy Principal Manish Banga, Head Sports Ajalpreet, Retired DSO Sunish Sharma, Red Cross Secretary Ashok Behal also graced the occasion.
Ajalpreet Sharma Head Sports of DCM Group while divulging details said that in this championship, shooters from the age group of 16, 19 and 21 years of sub-youth category, youth category, junior category, senior category took part in this championship. She said that the top shooters in the district would represent the district in the state championship to be held in Mohali.(SUBHEAD)
Earlier Principal Yachana Chawla welcomed the chief guest and the other guests. After the lamp lighting and the formal welcome, shooting coach Manpreet Kaur presented a demo of rifle shooting.
Chief guest commissioner Rajnish Tripathi appreciated the championship being organized by the association including the school administration. He also extended his best wishes to the shooters taking part.
Deputy Director Manjit Singh Dhillon said that besides Gurvanshbir Singh and Dilshanbir Singh Dhillon Yuvraj Setia, a student of DCM International, won the bronze medal in the sub youth category in the air pistol held on Thursday.
Association coaches Manpreet Kaur, Parvinder Sodhi, Bhupinder Singh Sodhi, Jagjit Singh, Garjepal Singh Gill, Gurpreet Dhillon, Sahil Gureja, Yogeshpal Bawa and others were present on the occasion.
