Angad Dutta District Youth President Congress, Jalandhar said, “Public shaming of a senior doctor on systemic issues is highly condemnable. Instead of practically addressing the issues of meagre fund allocation, drug shortage, acute shortage of staff and grossly inadequate infrastructure, The government is busy hiding its inadequacy by publicly humiliating it. The escapist attitude of the government is really unfair.
The 71-year-old, the only spine surgeon in Punjab, was upset about the minister's treatment over a dirty patient bed. It was reported that the minister spoke rudely with the Vice Chancellor. Dr Raj Bahadur's reputation has been damaged by the incident, which has drawn the support of the medical community.
“I am saying this with immense grief that the AAP Minister did cheap theatrics by forcibly asking the Vice-Chancellor to lie on the bed, '' said Angad Dutta.
Dr Raj Bahadur is a renowned spinal surgeon who has worked in many prestigious institutions in the country over the course of his 45-year career. In addition to being a member of the National Medical Commission, the country's regulatory body for medical education and professionals, he is also the Director of the Regional Spinal Injuries Centre in Mohali.

Angad Dutta said, “12th passed Health Minister of the Punjab state with his mob behaviour demoralising the medical staff. Chetan Singh Jouramajra has behaved in the most illiterate manner and defamed the Vice Chancellor of Baba Farid Medical University, Raj Bahadur Singh, who humiliated the Medical Community.”
Dr Raj Bahadur, a renowned health professional resigned after being humiliated by the state health minister at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital at Faridkot on Friday.
Angad Dutta also said, “To be so disrespectful toward a senior member of the medical service is appalling. In fact, this fight has resulted in the loss of the State's only spine surgeon. It is very unfortunate that the treatment was so unceremonious.”
“The Chief Minister must act and request that the Minister extend an unconditional apology. The minister's embarrassing, cheap, uneducated and arrogant behaviour of an MLA should be held accountable,” he added.
Brinder Dhillon, president of Punjab Youth Congress, tweeted, “Power has gone into the heads of AamAadmiParty and they think themselves as “maharaja of kingdom of Punjab” where they for cheap publicity on camera will vilify officials for “foki shahurat” without bringing any substantial change in the system which they have criticised.”
